Emma has
worked in advertising since leaving College in 1988. She worked her
way up from commission only telesales in small circulation trade
magazines to Classified Advertisement Manager in a large household
name newspaper.
After a career break to have 2 children she became a freelance sales
and management trainer and came to coaching from wanting to make a
lasting difference, immediately, to the people and organisations whom
she trained.
“I quickly became dissatisfied with traditional training methods as
everyone learns at different speeds and comes to training with their
own agenda and sense of reality. Coaching appreciates all of this and
allows the individual to thrive and achieve their optimal potential at
their own speed which can have dramatic effects on not only their
lives but also on the people around them”
Emma trained with Coaching and Mentoring International on the National
Diploma of Life Coaching and is committed to a programme of Continual
Professional Development.
Niche Areas
Most coaches have niches. These are areas that the coach feels
particularly passionate about and in turn focus’s much of their
attention.
I have two, which shows the two sides of my personality and
responsibility, one as a coach and mentor and the other as a mother.
My first is a passion to change company
culture from a push to a pull mentality and the working lives of the
individuals who serve within them. I love to work with organisations
who want to get the best from their people and use coaching to do
this. I work with those who want to acquire a balance in their lives
which changes their reality from living to work to working to live.
My second is in the field of divorce and separation and the way
the parents move from being a 2 parent family to being a 1 parent
family and the impact this has on their children. I have written a
*children’s book which helps children understand what their future will
be like and am in the last throws of writing an accompanying handbook
which gives the parents important questions to reflect on; not only at
the beginning of the process but for the rest of their lives.
